  • Popular bakery suspended following inspection
  • A bakery that has been very successful over the years has been temporarily suspended after a routinely inspection went bad.
  • The Kalani Bros. Bakery, which is one of the largest bakeries in the city, has had they're licensed temporarily revoked after cockroaches,mice droppings, flour beetles and other health problems were discovered during an annual inspection.

  • County Commissioners make proposal for impact fee.
  • In hopes of raising money to further develop the county, impact fees will be mulled.
  • 12 county officials are heavily proposing the idea to establish an impact fee, which would bring in the money the county needs to further develop.

  • No more junk food for Students
  • A law will be put in effect next fall that discontinues the sales of "junk food" to students during school.
  • The state Legislature has decided it is time to regulate what types of foods students are able to buy from vending machines during school hours.

  • Man shot and killed after opening fire on Officer
  • An unidentified suspect was shot and killed late last night after opened fire at a police officer late last night. 
  • Around 10 pm. last night a man opened fire on a a police officer. After being wounded by 2 of the 4 bullets fired, the officer stood up and returned fire, killing the suspect.

  • "Project Reassurance"is an innovative program that was developed to provide safety to the lives of elderly citizens. 
  • Today marks the one year anniversary of "Project Reassurance", which is a program that was created to save lives and provide safety for senior citizens.

  • Medical Examiners may no longer remove corneas
  • As of today it has been ruled that medical examiners must have permission from a family relative in order to remove the corneas from a patient's eye.
  • Since 1994 Medical examiners have had the right to remove a patient's cornea as long as they had consent from the patient. As of today, that is no longer the case.

5. As of late, a group of medical researchers have been conducting a survey which came to reveal that almost 1 in 10 women have gone through an abortion procedure during their lifetime.

6. 5 college students have been charged with two counts of battery after it was discovered that a hazing incident took place, leaving one student with a sprained back, and another with several internal injuries.
